4. Thickening: PAM has a thickening effect under neutral and acidic conditions. When the pH value is above 10, PAM is easily hydrolyzed. When it is in a semi-reticular structure, the thickening will be more obvious. During the process of flocculant removal of colloidal substances, these effects are required.

1. Adsorption: Because the coagulant is a high-molecular substance, it plays an adsorption and bridging role in the water, causing the particles in the water to bond with each other to form large particles. The colloidal substances are then treated by precipitation.

2. Neutralization effect: Due to the positively charged ions generated by the coagulant in the water, the colloids in natural water are generally negatively charged, causing them to attract different charges and neutralize each other, thus eliminating the electrostatic repulsion between the colloidal particles. .and can grow into large particles and be removed by settling under their own weight.

3. Surface contact effect: The flocculation process is carried out on the surface of the particles with the particles as the core. The surfaces of the particles are in contact with each other and stick together to form large particles. The particles are processed by sedimentation.

4. Filtration: The process of flocculation settling in water. A filter screen descends, thereby enveloping other particles and settling together. Through the above processes, suspended matter and colloidal substances in water are removed. Flocculant PAM reacts with water to form insoluble hydroxides that act as precipitants. These hydroxides are connected to form a network, capturing small particles to form larger flocs. The generated flocs either float on the surface of the liquid or sink to the bottom. In principle, we can understand that floating means that its specific gravity is lighter, and sinking to the bottom means that its specific gravity is heavier. Whether floating or sinking, the flocs in both cases are easy to be filtered or removed, so that our purpose of removing suspended matter can be achieved. It is chemically called SS.

(4) Usage

Prepare the product into an aqueous solution of 0.05% to 0.20%. When dissolving, sprinkle the product evenly and slowly into a container with stirring measures to avoid clumping and making it difficult to dissolve. Generally, the solid product can be used after dissolving for 30-60 minutes; the solution Add it to the sewage or sludge to be treated and stir to create a flocculation state.

(5) Packaging and storage

Kraft paper bag with moisture-proof film inside, net weight 15 or 25KG/bag. The product is hygroscopic and should not be exposed to the sun or rain. The recommended storage period of the product is 12 months. If the storage period is too long, the effect may be reduced, but it can still be used.
